Course description
This is a course on linear algebra. Students will learn about basic matrix operations, inverse matrix, how to solve simultaneous linear equations by Gaussian elimination, diagonalization of 2x2 matrices.
Purpose of class
The object of this course is to be able to perform basic matrix operations and to be able to solve simultaneous linear equations by Gaussian elimination.
Goals and objectives
  1. To be able to basic operations for matrix
  2. To be able to solve simultaneous linear equations by Gaussian elimination and to understand relation between type of solution and rank of the coefficient matrix.
  3. To be able to diagonalize 2x2 matrices.
