生命科学に関する研究のための統計手法を講義する．特に生命科学の分野で多く扱われる実験データの統計処理法を習得することは，合理的な研究計画の立案に不可欠である．重要な確率統計手法を中心に生命科学分野の研究事例を用いながら解説する．
生命科学分野の基礎的な統計手法を理解・実践し，実際の実験データの統計処理を行い，データを考察できる能力を養うことが本授業の目的である．

中間試験(40%)及び期末試験(60%)より評価する. 合格ラインの60点は，生命科学科の実験や計測に最低限必要な統計処理手法が身についており，データを最低限解釈できることが基準である．
