As for the building materials, many performance like safety, dwelling comfortableness, durability etc. are required according to the part and the usage.
The aim of this course is to help students acquire the way of thinking of selection of an appropriate material and the practice method of structural materials for the long use of them.

Evaluation method and criteria
The evaluation will be based on the quizzes, mid-term examinations and final examinations given during the lectures.
The mid-term and final examinations will be based on the students' basic knowledge of structural materials, and the final examinations will be based on the students' discussion of the performance and construction methods required for the structural materials.
The maximum score is 100 points, and 60 points or more is considered passing.
