1 Advanced Design Survey
Research and analysis are important parts of design work. Often, design work is regarded as artwork, focusing on deciding
the colors and shapes of products. However, research plays a large role in deciding the direction of the product. This course
gives students an understanding of oral, literary, and graphic log surveying based on ethnography in cultural anthropology.
The purpose of this course is to learn ethnography techniques to organize not only the viewpoint of the manufacture but also
the viewpoint of the user.
- Be able to explain ethnography
- Be able to write a fieldnote with sketch. (Fieldnote check)
- Be able to indicate the pros and cons of using DX tools for fieldwork. (Discussion, Peer review)
