1 Advanced Information System Engineering
The primary purpose of this class is to explore practical strategies for bridging the gap between human users and artificial
products.
Each lecture will consist of two parts:
1) Reading Pre-Defined Books:
- Students will engage in discussions based on pre-assigned book chapters.
- Homework involves reading one chapter per week.
2) Exploring English Articles:
- Students will explore English articles related to their research fields.
- Prior to class, students read selected articles and present findings.
3) Some lectures feature:
- Lecturer’s Research Introduction: Topics like vision experiments, visual illusions, and emotion-aware systems.
- Guest Lecturers: Experts introduce new interaction systems and evaluate novel interfaces.
4) Group Project and In-Class Activities:
- Collaborate on a group project related to interface design.
The class is conducted on-site.
All classes will be recorded.
The main purpose of this class is to show what to think for a better interface between human and artificial products.
- The students can acquire common sense of what to think for better interface between human and artificial products (Especially
on Human Centered Design)
- The students can acquire common sense of what to think for better interface between human and artificial products (Especially
on Interactive systems, and on Biological, Kansei, and Knowledge Information Processing)
- The students can acquire common sense of what to think for better interface between human and artificial products (Especially
on Information Presentation including Information Visualization)
