This class provided topics in research area of Pharmaceutical Synthetic Chemistry, Bioorganic and Synthetic Chemistry and Functional Molecular Sciences, which are important for research and development of medicine.
Purpose of class
Understanding of pharmaceutical synthetic chemistry as well as the topics of research field of medicinal chemistry.
Goals and objectives
  1. To understand Pharmaceutical Synthetic Chemistry, Bioorganic and Synthetic Chemistry and Functional Molecular Sciences.
  2. To understand synthetic methods for the total synthesis of organic compounds.
  3. To understand methods for separation and analysis of enantiomers and determination of stereochemistry.

This course is graded on the basis of 20% presentation of the assignment, 50% report, and 30% examination. A total of 60% will be required to pass the course. No examinations will be given. You can get 60 points or more if you attend every lecture, present the assignment, and submit the report.
