Course content
This course will discuss the plastic behavior of members, connections, and frames, which is necessary for understanding the seismic performance of steel structures. In particular, the basics of plastic analysis, which is an important theory for understanding the seismic design of steel structures, the conditions for its operation, and its applications are discussed in detail. The basis, loads, analysis methods, and design criteria of domestic and foreign seismic design methods are outlined, and the similarities and differences between domestic and foreign design methods are described.
Purpose of class
The purpose of this course is to learn the plastic theory for evaluating the seismic performance of steel structures, and to understand the basic concepts and frameworks of seismic design in Japan and abroad.

  1. 塑性解析の基本定理,仮定および諸条件を理解した上で,解析を実践できる。
  2. 国内外の鋼構造の耐震設計法の基本的考え方および枠組を理解できる。
  3. 接合部の終局耐力評価の重要性を理解し,その評価を実践できる。
