Course content
The course focuses on the fields of building structure, construction material and building production system that are techniques to realize actual buildings. Especially in regions having frequent natural disasters and severe climate conditions like Japan, it is necessary to pay special consideration for these fields to realize sustainable buildings.
This class will be provided in omnibus form by several lecturers who specialize in each engineering field. Fundamental knowledge and the newest research trend will be presented with reference to actual cases.
Purpose of class
The purpose of this class is to understand the outline of each technology, mutual relationship and their roles in the whole architectural process from design and construction to maintenance management.
Goals and objectives
  1. Understand the current problems in the engineering field for building construction and structure
  2. Obtain knowledge about newly developed technologies in the architectural engineering field
  3. Obtain the methodology to solve the problems in the architectural engineering field
