Course content
One of the following research fields will be selected, and research into building environment engineering will be conducted.

1. Investigation and research will be conducted on regional energy systems utilizing unutilized energies and dispersed power within cities as technologies to reduce energy consumption etc. accompanying urban activity. Investigation and research will also be conducted on the size of living spheres of regional residents (children, the average citizen, the elderly etc.) as basic materials for the development and improvement of the regional residential environment.
2. In aspiring to establish a sustainable society, it is necessary to reduce the global environmental load of buildings, and methods and ideology to assess environmental performance are important. Research relating to assessment methods for environmental load reduction technologies will be conducted. Research relating to comfortable, highly efficient, and next generation architectural air conditioning facilities and environmental control technologies will also be conducted.
3. Building air quality problems can be broadly divided into contamination of industrial air conditioning facilities, and health problems caused by general air conditioners. In both fields, various problems are occurring such as those relating to VOC. While various analyses of their physical mechanisms are being pursued, the difficulty of logic building for control and verification at the objective formulation stage is already a latent problem. Research into optimal control and verification methods will be conducted with respect to these air quality control problems, from both a statistical and physical perspective.
