1 City Planning /Exercise 1
In this course, each student will set their respective research themes, and will pursue research by conducting surveys and
analysis in the field. It is important that students have a clear awareness of issues, and to establish a firm research method.
A disposition not only to conduct “thinking activities” but also to “hands-on practical activities” is required. The following
are target goals for the course: 1. investigative analysis, determining topics, proposing solution methods, considering alternative
proposals, determining specific designs, and the ability to compile results at each stage; 2. acquire basic abilities to conduct
city planning activities while conversing not only with other students, but with instructors, specialists, government, and
the general public.
- Digestion of the way for finding out the community resources
- Digestion of the method of research, analysis and dialogue for community improvement
- Understanding of the method for communtiy improvement as a specialist
