Course description
What is "interface design"?
It is often thought of as "the design of contact points between people and devices," but it is by no means limited to that.
In this class, we will focus mainly on interface design of devices, and study interface design as product design from a total perspective by learning about people from the perspective of cognitive science, devices from the evolution of technology, and the "dialogue" and "expression" that connect them. The ultimate goal for the operation of equipment is not only to make it easy to understand and use, but also to make our lives richer and happier through the effects it provides. Based on the above, in the first half of the course, students will learn the knowledge necessary for this purpose with actual examples. In the second half of the course, students will work on actual assignments on given themes, and finally, they will compile them into a work of art.
Purpose of class
In this class, students learn interface design as product design from a total perspective by studying the relationship between people and products, and the "dialogue" and "expression" that connect them.
Goals and objectives
  1. To be able to understand the nature of interface design in product design.
  2. Acquire skills to construct interface designs with optimal expression and usability based on the characteristics and target of the device.
