Course description
The purpose of this course is for students to learn economic analysis methods that are necessary when studying planning and transportation systems in civil engineering, such as the theory of households and firms behaviors. To help students understand these methods, explanations using numerical examples and calculation problems are provided in this class.
Purpose of class
The primary purpose of this course is to work on calculation problems such as extreme value problems with constraints that will be required in the field of civil engineering, and to learn how to solve them. The second purpose is to learn the concept and examples of cost-benefit analysis, which is the basis for discussing public spending policies, and to understand the applicability of the analysis method to reality.
