In order to create or build new machines, robots, etc., mechanical engineers must have the following knowledge and abilities

In this class, students will learn about the mechanisms and functions of basic machine elements such as screws and shafts, as well as the standards for machine elements, and acquire the ability to make appropriate selections based on the standards.
Students will also learn about mechanical drafting methods in accordance with JIS, and acquire the ability to understand three-dimensional shapes from drawings and accurately draft basic shapes.
Furthermore, students learn about material strength, stress, and safety factor, and study design and drafting for specific elements such as screws.
