Chemical industries cover a broad range of medical, food, electronic, machine, environmental, and IT industries as well as
the production and distribution of chemical products. On “Introduction to Chemical Industries”, lecturers, invited from the
companies which recruited students from the department of Applied chemistry (SIT) recently and/or gave employment offers,
will give a talk about the practical business and trend in chemical industries. We also learn rules on job hunting activities,
how to deal with problems arising at job hunting, how to judge the qualities required for engineer and how to judge your aptitude.

Students will learn the contents of actual work in a chemical industry company, company strategy, prospects for the future
of chemical industry etc by the lecturers. By preparing a report including the research for company's business and by describing
the reasons for application for the business as a simulation application document, students will increase the incentives to
work and will determine their own job aptitude.

Evaluate the submitted simulated job applications by all professors of the department of Applied Chemistry, a passing grade
will require total score of 60 or more out of 100.
