Course description
In this course, analog electronic circuits are mainly discussed. Semiconductors including diodes, bipolar transistors and feild effect transistors (FET) are explained and the principle and analysis of the basic amplifiers are studied. In addition, the principles and practical oscillation circuits and power supply circuits are also studied.
Purpose of class
The main purpose of this class is comprehention of semiconductors, the operation of transistors and the skill of analysis and design of basic amplifiers, oscillation circuits and power supply circuits.
Goals and objectives
  1. The students who succeeded in this course will be able to understand and explain about the principle of semiconductors for electronic circuits.
  2. They also will be able to understand and explain about the equivalent circuits of bipolar transistors and field effect transistors.
  3. They also will be able to understand the principle of basic amplifiers using transistors and analyze those operating quantity.
  4. They also will be able to understand and explain the principle of operation of various oscillation circuits.
  5. They also will be able to understand and explain the principle of operation of power supply circuits.

Evaluation method and criteria
Evaluated by the submitted tasks (65%) and final examination (35%), and the total score of 60 points or more is required to pass.
Score guideline: 60 points can be obtained if the student is able to understand, solve and submit each assignment without fail.

Textbooks and reference materials
Lecture materials with blanks can be downloaded from scomb by the 2day before each class. Prepare by using this materials, and fill the blanks at the class. When you miss or could not understand sufficiently, full version of materials are delivered using scomb in the next day of the class. So it's desirable to review using these materials.
