Course description
 Coding/decoding schemes, error control schemes, modulation/demodulation schemes, multiple access schemes, antenna and propagation, anti-fading schemes, OFDM transmission schemes for mobile communication systems are discussed.
 In addition, advanced mobile communication systems (PDC, W-CDMA, HSDPA, LTE, LTE-Advanced and 5G), wireless broadband systems (WiMAX), wireless LAN (802.11) and other IoT systems are introduced.
Purpose of class
 The main purpose of this class is to understand mobile communication systems including basic technologies and integrated system and services.
Goals and objectives
  1. The students who succeeded in this course will be able to understand and apply basic mobile communications technologies for instance coding/decoding, modulation/demodulation and so on.
  2. They also will be able to understand and apply application technologies for mobile communication systems for instance multiple access, antenna and propagation, anti-fading technologies and so on.
  3. In addtion, they will be able to understand and apply the recent and the next generation mobile communication services and wireless systems technologies.
