Course description
大学の講義は基礎科目の教育に重点を置いており、拡大する専門領域や実際の土木工事の内容に触れる機会が少ない。このため、これらに造詣が深い方や土木工事の実務についておられる第一線の技術者・研究者の特別講義を受けることによって土木分野の理解を深めるとともに、技術者としてのセンスの向上を図ることを目的としている。授業は各界の第一線におられる方をその都度招聘し、講義およびそれに関連した実習・見学を行う。
　また、土木分野の技術やそれを取り巻く環境は現在急速に変化しており、卒業直後にこれらの変化に適応することはますます困難になりつつある。本セミナーでは、この時期の経験や困難さなどを事前に認識し、卒業直後に技術者として職場環境に適応できるようにする。そこで本講義においては、卒業後数年の卒業生を講師に迎え、この時期の経験などを話してもらう講義も行う。
Purpose of class
進路を決める時期において、土木工学の各分野の内容や技術者のキャリアアップについて学ぶことを目的とする。
Goals and objectives
  1. 土木工学が社会の中でどのように活用されているか知ることができる。
  2. 第一線の方の話から自分の進路へのヒントを見出す力をつけることができる。また、専門科目の学習に対するモチベーションを上げることができる力を身につけることができる。
  3. 論理的な文章作成能力を高めることができる。
  4. 学生と社会人の違いを認識し、技術者としてスタートする心構えを構築することができる。

Evaluation method and criteria
各回のレポート(70%)と最終レポート(30%)で60 点以上を合格とする。なお、講義に３回以上欠席したものは評価の対象外にし単位は与えない。
