Survey Instrument Design

NAKAGAWA Masafumi
Course description
This course covers several 3D measurement principles in surveying. It also includes basic error theory in measurements. Through designs of surveying instruments, students can understand the above-mentioned contents.
Purpose of class
The purpose of this course is to propose surveying methodologies improved through the designs of surveying instruments.
Goals and objectives
  1. Can explain about fundamental algorithms of 3D measurement in surveying
  2. Can design survey instruments
  3. Can evaluate measurement accuracy of survey instruments
