Introduction to Computer Science and Engineering

SRIPIAN PEERAYA
Course description
The primary objective of this course is to explore fundamental technologies in Computer Science and Engineering, as well as cutting-edge advancements within various research fields. We will cover a wide range of topics related to computer science, including human-computer interaction, graphics, programming languages, affective computing, computer architecture, artificial intelligence (machine learning), and data analysis.

Course Structure:
- Omnibus Style: This course follows an omnibus approach, integrating diverse topics from the field of computer science.
Lecture Assignments:
- Short Papers (Minutes): Students must submit short papers summarizing each lecture (60% of the grade). These papers will enhance their ability to capture the essence of lecture topics succinctly.
- Long (Technical) Reports: Students should select two lecture topics and write comprehensive technical reports (40% of the grade). These reports will develop their skills in investigating specific computer science subjects and aligning their writing style with research norms in the field.

By the end of this course, students will have gained a solid understanding of essential technologies and research practices in Computer Science and Engineering.
