Course description
本授業では、PBL(課題解決型学習)形式でモビリティを改善することを通じて身近な都市空間を発展させていくためのアプローチを体験的に習得する。自分が生活した都市などの具体的な移動に関する課題を取り上げ、交通システム概論で学んだ知識を活用してグループでその問題の深刻さを評価し、政策提言又は技術提案といった解決方策を検討する。ステークホルダーの協力を得るためのプレゼンテーションも実践的に身に付ける。
This course is a PBL (project-based learning) designed to help students acquire approaches for proposing specific solutions that contribute to regional development through improving human mobility. Students are expected to identify concrete issues related to mobility, evaluate the significance of the issues, and propose solutions including policy measures or technical measures. Students will also practically acquire communication and presentation skills to obtain cooperation from stakeholders for project implementation.
Purpose of class
This class aims to practice the process of problem identifying and solving. Students are expected to develop specific policy measures or technical measures for improving mobility. Students will work in groups to explore the issues based on facts or data analysis, examine the related case examples, propose solutions, and communicate them to people in an easily understandable manner.

  1. Students can understand issues related to mobility and be able to identify real-world problems based on evidence
  2. Students can gain the ability to propose solutions based on the examination of existing practices
  3. Students can acquire information-gathering/organizing skills, analytical skills, and presentation skills
