4 Graduation Thesis 3
Students will develop practical problem-solving skills and learn how to write a research paper. They will achieve this by
applying the fundamental problem-solving skills acquired in Graduation Thesis 1 and Graduation Thesis 2 to address advanced
and complex research topics within the field of mechanical engineering. During the problem-solving process, students will
be expected to creatively employ a wide range of knowledge.
As a result, it is necessary for students to independently acquire the necessary knowledge and skills tailored to their research
themes. They must also continually assess their progress while keeping the research objectives in mind. To facilitate this,
students will receive research guidance from a faculty advisor and conduct research activities systematically, which will
include periodic debriefing sessions, among other methods.
The objective of this course is to enable students to independently examine solutions to unfamiliar problems using their expertise
and effectively communicate the results of their investigations through written papers and oral presentations.
- Students can communicate their opinion and explanation of the research result etc. Also, they can understand other person's
comments or questions, and discuss with professors and other students.
- Student can work cooperatively with others in the process of problem solving.
- Students can understand the background of the problem, clarify the research purpose and focus the research subjects.
- Students can utilize their expert knowledge, combine the appropriate experiments and analytical methods, and propose how to
solve the problem.
- Students can examine solutions to problems by improving experimental methods, equipment, and programs, and by analyzing the
results of experiments and analyses.
- Students can manage their research plan and perform by the deadline.
Students acquire the skill for the topics and how to survey the information or the knowledge by using the Internet, etc..
Students have to learn continuously and autonomously.
