4 Graduation Thesis 4
Based on specialized knowledge of electrical engineering and rbotics, stundetns recognize the breadth of electrical engineering
and robotics, and related technical fields, and the depth of specialized technical fields. And, based on this knowledge, students
acquire problem-discovery/problem-solving skills and presentation skills on their own by studying on interesting research
themes under the guidance of supervisors in their respective specialized fields.
The aims of the graduation research 3 and 4 are to learn the basics of research and technology development methods based on
what the students learned up to the 3rd year. They are aquired by discussing problems, methods and means to solve them, research
results, etc. through presentations in the laboratory and department.
In Graduation Research 4, the student reviews with his/her supervisor whether the goal and plan set in Graduation Research
3 are progressing as planned, and work towards achieving his/her initial goal.
As conducting Graduation Research 4, from the viewpoint of content and continuity, a minimum of 150 hours of guaranteed study
time will be required.
Based on the knowledge of electrical engineering and robotics, the stundents will deepen their specialized knowledge through
graduation research 4 and improve their conceptual and research abilities.
- Able to set own tasks for a given research theme and formulate a plan to accomplish the tasks. (B,E,G)
- Able to execute the scheduled plan without delay. (B,E,G)
- Able to check and evaluate execution results. (B,E,G)
- Based on the evaluation results, the next topic can be set. (B,E,G)
- Able to document set tasks, developed plans, and research results using text, diagrams, tables, etc. (B,E,G)
- Able to explain set issues, developed plans, and research results through presentations. (B,E,G)

Evaluation method and criteria
Submit a graduation research paper and pass the exam.
Be able to make a presentation and respond appropriately to questions and answers at the graduation research presentation.
Achievement goals 1 to 4 will be evaluated the efforts of students toward the graduation research by the supervisor.
Achievement goal 5 will be evaluated by the graduation thesis.
Achievement goal 6 will be evaluated through graduation research presentation.
Evaluate items corresponding to achievement goals 1 to 4, 5, and 6 using a predetermined rubric.
The evaluation score is
(Achievement goal 1 to 4: Full score of 25) + (Achievement goal 5: Full score of 40) + (Achievement goal 6: Full score of
35) = 100 points
A score of 60 or above is required to pass the course.
Development of high-end power conversion system by power electronics control technology and optimal control theory
Optimal vector control for IM and SM, Inverters, AC-DC converters, based on Modern Control Theory
Hybrid biomass-and solar generation vehicle, Stirling engine control
