Course description
The goal of this course is to foster the sense of right values and ethics which are required to the future engineers and scientists. For the development of science and engineering, it is required that all the scientists and engineers know the laws and regulations related to their research and also perform their work faithfully. Consequently, people can live a comfortable life and the sustainable society will be preserved into the future. In this course, students can learn the criteria for judgement and guiding principles based on research ethics, and can adopt the criteria not to be involved in misconduct, or not to be against the law. In the class, several educational tools such as e-learning, role playing using a simulator, will be used.
Purpose of class
The purpose of this course is to learn the necessary ethical standards and principles of behavior as scientists and engineers, and to cultivate ethical values that will not lead to violations of laws and improper involvement.

Reports, Presentation and discussions in class will contribute 75% of your grade.
Final exam will contribute 25% of your grade.
Those who get at least 60% of the full score will pass this course.
If you attend all classes, make your presentations and reports on time, you can get at least 60 %.
