Course title
Course description
The course provides the student with the theory and application of engineering mechanics focusing on the static condition. The topics includes force vectors, equilibrium of particle/rigid body, force system resultants, structural analysis, internal forces, and center of gravity and centroid. The course further enchanced the student knowledge in applying the mathematical concept for engineering mechanics. The course also help the student to visualize physical configuration in term of real materials, actual constraints and the practical limitations in the behaviour of machines and structures.
Purpose of class
The purpose of this course is to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the fundamental concept in statics especially the equilibrium of particle/rigid body, force system resultants and moment. The course also develop the student capacity to predict the effect of force while carrying out the creative design functions of engineering.
