Course description
In this class, I pick up themes of fluid flows around us and put the emphasis on understanding physical phenomena of them. Finally I instruct students to become interest in the fluid mechanics.
Purpose of class
The gas and liquid are collectively referred to as the fluid. Around us, there are various fluid flows. Many mechanical systems are also related with the fluid flows. It is important to understand mechanisms of the fluid flows.
Goals and objectives
  1. Organize relations between the fluid and mechanical engineering.
  2. Understand the physical properties of the fluid.
  3. Understand the concept of pressure in the fluid and study the statics of tne fluid.
  4. Understanding of basic fluid dynamics (equation of continuity, Euler's equations, Bernoulli's theorem).

Evaluation method and criteria
It is mandatory to submit a task report on the lecture content every time.
Each report is evaluated by S, A, B, C, and D, and C is the level at which the lecture content can be understood at a minimum.
However, if the report has not been submitted, it will be D.
The final evaluation is an average of all reports, and if the C evaluation is given, 60 points will be passed.
