Course description
1. To perform mechanical simulation using two software in this exercise,
(1) Dynamical simulation for functional modeling: Matlab/Simulink,
(2) Structural analysis for structural modeling: Femap with NX nastran.
2. To exercise about the subjects which were taken out with the lecture of the applied design.
3. Reports include analysis and engineering consideration to analysis result.
Purpose of class
To acquire the simulation modeling technology and the capability to predict for the behavior of mechanical structure to the mechanics problem.
Goals and objectives
  1. Can learn a usage of a simulation software for understanding the behavior of mechanical structure.
  2. Can acquire simulation modeling and analysis technology through a lecture and an exercise
  3. Can understand the V&V process for the engineering simulation

Evaluation method and criteria
Carrying out comprehensive evaluation using reports (dynamical simulation and FEM) of exercise subject and exercise behavior. If the report consisted of subject’s content, analysis procedure and method, consideration, and conclusion, moreover the reason is described through understanding exercises explanation, Those reports will be evaluated as 60%.
