Course description
This course deals with the basic skills of representation for architectural drafting. It also enhances the basic skills of two and three dimensional representations to make a Design and Manufacturing in each field: Architecture, Urban, and Environment.
It corresponds to the subject of the examination for architects; First “Architectural Design Drawings.”
Purpose of class
The aim of this course is to help students acquire the basic knowledge and skills of architectural drawing definition, notation, and representation. Furthermore, it enables students three-dimensionally grasp and comprehend the elements and system of buildings: timber, steel-framed structure, and reinforced concrete, by practicing some exercises: axonometric (isometric) projection, sketches, perspective projection, and architectural drawings, for architectural spaces.
Goals and objectives
  1. Take the measure of personal belongings and spaces using the body.
  2. Draw the architectural spaces using the skills of representation: axonometric (isometric) projection, sketches, and perspective projection.
  3. Draw the architectural design drawings by hand using drafting board and tools.
  4. Grasp and Comprehend the elements and system of buildings: timber, steel-framed structure, and reinforced concrete.
