Course description
This lecture covers three major topics: 1) the special education system and curriculum, 2) understanding students with special needs, and 3) providing support for students with special needs. The three major themes are: 1. The course will not be limited to the mere acquisition of knowledge, but will incorporate individual and group discussions, exercises, presentations, and simulated experiences, actively providing opportunities to utilize the knowledge learned to understand students with special needs and to think about specific measures to deal with them.
Purpose of class
To understand the characteristics of disabilities and physical and mental development of children and students who need special support due to various disabilities, as well as educational curricula and support methods.

  2. Understand the curricula and methods of support for students with special needs.
  3. Understand the learning or living difficulties of students with no disabilities but with special educational needs and how to deal with them.

The evaluation will be based on a short report to be submitted in class (40%) and an examination (60%), with an overall score of 60 points or higher as passing grade.
