Finishing Materials

KOGA Junko
Course description
There are a wide variety of materials used in buildings, and it is important to deepen understanding of the properties of these materials in order to create excellent architecture and abundant spaces. In particular, for finishing materials, the required performance differs depending on the part used and the application, and in addition to performance according to functions such as design, thermal properties, and acoustic properties, ease of replacement and recyclability may be required. ..
In this lecture, we will discuss the classification, characteristics / properties, usage, maintenance and maintenance of materials other than structural materials used for each part of buildings such as roofs, walls, and floors, and functional materials that carry out the functions required for each part. Learn about methods, select appropriate materials, and learn systems and practical methods for using them for a long time.
Purpose of class
To understand the functions and performance required for each part and component, and to acquire basic knowledge of building materials for material design in these areas.
