Course description
This course will provide an understanding of the concept and utilization of "information (attribute information)," the greatest feature of BIM.
In the first half, participants will read architectural and structural drawings and build a BIM model through collaborative work using a CDE (shared data environment). In addition, participants will learn how to tally quantities, create drawings using attribute information, and coordinate through overlay.
In the second half, participants will learn about parametric modeling using visual programming tools that work with BIM software. In particular, participants will practice programming techniques that manipulate attribute information to vary geometry.
The BIM software used will be Autodesk's Revit 2024, and participants will bring their own laptops to carry out the exercises.
Therefore, participants will need to have the software installed on their own laptops.
Purpose of class
Through exercises in utilizing BIM data, such as constructing and integrating design and structural models, interference checking, schedules, process simulation, and visual programming, participants will deepen their understanding of the BIM concept and acquire the skills necessary to use BIM in the practical aspects of architectural projects.
Goals and objectives

Goals and objectives Course Outcomes
1. The relationship between the design and structure, and between the framework and facility equipment (sanitary equipment and elevators) can be seen from the drawings.
4.
2. It is possible to obtain quantities and simulate processes using BIM models.
4.
3. It will be possible to use the cloud to carry out collaborative BIM input operations and implementation planning.
4.
4. Modeling can be done using visual programming.
4.
5. Be able to suggest ways to use BIM in construction production and maintenance operations.
4.
