Course description
We have two methods to keep our architectural environment comfortable. One is what is called "active method", and the other "passive method". This course mainly deals with the latter, namely the basic concepts and principles for architectural control of "light" and "sound" in rooms. Technical terms and methods to measuring and evaluating them will be expected to learn.
Purpose of class
"Light"(visual perception) and "Sound"(auditory perception) are most important factor of architectural and urban environment for human. The aim of this course is to learn physical behavior of these environmental factors, how human will sense the physical stimuli in rooms and how they are of use in the design of architecture.
Goals and objectives

Goals and objectives Course Outcomes
1. Understanding the meaning and phenomenon of physical environmental factor.
3.
2. Understanding the mechanism of forming the environment.
3.
3. Understanding the relationship between physical environmental phenomenon and our sense to these factors.
3.
