Course description
This course will help you understand the concept of BIM (Building Information Modeling), which is becoming an essential knowledge and skill for engineers involved in construction production. In this class, you will learn how to build object-based architectural models through the use of Revit, a BIM software program developed by Autodesk and used widely around the world. The class will be based around practical exercises, but there will also be lectures as appropriate to deepen your understanding of examples of BIM use in the workplace.

The exercises will be carried out on personal laptop computers with the BIM software “Autodesk Revit 2024” (which only runs on Windows) installed (there are no fixed computers in the classroom). Please install the software yourself before the class, using the URL below as a reference.
Purpose of class
Through the acquisition of exercises and BIM software method of operation of the BIM model input, acquire the basic knowledge to learn the concept of BIM.
