Course content
As product functions become more varied and complicated, “product usability” and “user experience” have gotten a lot of attention recently. Human Centered Design(HCD)/User Centered Design(UCD) is an approach to interactive systems development that aims to make systems usable and useful by focusing on the users, their needs and requirements, and by applying human factors/ergonomics, and usability knowledge and techniques. This approach enhances users’ experience and improves usability, accessibility and sustainability. This course encourages students to learn the HCD process and HCD methods.
Purpose of class
This course encourages students to learn the HCD process and HCD methods.

  1. Explain the background and needs of human centered design.
  2. Explain the important key words such as user experience and usability.
  3. Explain the important HCD methods and techniques.
  4. Plan human centered design project and can choose appropriate HCD methods.
