1 Human-oriented Information Systems /Exercise1
This course involves research on human-centred information systems. Specifically, the students will measure and analyse human
sensitivity, emotions and behaviour, and construct models to explain them. Based on the result, novel information systems
or interaction methods will then be designed. After the implementation and evaluation, the students finally present their
findings at conferences.
- Be able to survey research on human-centred information systems and clarify the standing of his/her own research.
- Be able to examine the issues in his/her own research and to propose and discuss solutions to the issues.
- Be able to implement and evaluate methods for solving issues in an appropriate manner.
Japanese(English accepted)
- Understanding the research field through discussions with supervisors and laboratory members at laboratory meetings.
- Proposing a method to solve the problem, and then implementing and evaluating the method.
- Presenting research outcomes at conferences.
Evaluation method and criteria
The evaluation will be made comprehensively according to the following criteria:
- Status of survey of related papers
- State of progress of the research
- Attitude towards participation in the meetings (preparation status, participation in discussions)
- Status of preparation for external presentations (domestic conferences, international conferences, peer-reviewed papers)
