1 Hydro-Engineering /Exercise 1
[Outline of the course]
This course discusses river basin management and channel design theories by examining river basins' natural and social environments
and historical transitions. The lecture uses various methodologies, such as field surveys, statistical analysis, GIS analysis,
and numerical simulation, to pursue sustainable environmental management and appropriate channel design throughout river basins.
[Keywords]
river basin management, channel design, state-of-the-art river research, field survey, data analysis, and model development.
- Obtain a methodology for solving hydro-related issues by using water science theories.
- Develop analytic/numerical models for river channel design or environmental planning considering water and material cycles.
- Make a measure to solve current water-related problems through field surveys and model simulation.
The lecturer will give the class schedule in the first lecture.
