Course content
Research on welfare support systems aims to improve the Quality of Life (QOL) for people with disabilities and the elderly by engineering methods and tools to support independence, barrier-free environments, and accessibility. In addition to developing welfare equipment, a crucial research objective is to measure the physiological characteristics of the elderly and people with disabilities. Based on these considerations, individual research themes are established and implemented.
Goals and objectives
  1. To be able to understand the research background and objectives of individual research themes, independently set short-term goals.
  2. To be able to understand the research methodologies used in individual research projects.
  3. To be able to report and present the research results obtained from individual research projects.

Class schedule
Conduct literature reviews of prior research necessary for setting and implementing individual research themes, explore future research topics for each individual, and establish short-term goals.
Develop research by setting the next short-term goals based on the content discussed in regularly held progress report meetings.
Upon obtaining research results worthy of a research report, begin preparing manuscripts for submission to academic conferences and journals.
Ultimately, develop research by setting goals for the graduation year, aiming to achieve at least an academic conference presentation.
Evaluation method and criteria
The evaluation will comprehensively assess research outcomes, including progress reports presented at past progress meetings and presentations at academic conferences, during the final review. The degree of achievement of the final master's thesis will serve as the evaluation criterion.
