1 Cityscape Research /Exercise 1
Students will identify social and regional issues in the field of urban landscape, review previous research, design surveys,
collect and analyze data, and logically organize their research findings. Specifically, students will take the initiative
in formulating research plans, conducting empirical or theoretical studies using appropriate research methods, and deepening
their awareness of issues and improving the quality of their research through progress reports and discussions in a seminar
format. The research will also be conducted with an awareness of the practical application of the findings to urban planning
and landscape design.
- Students are able to set research topics based on their own interests in social and local issues, in relation to relevant
previous research.
- Students are able to collect and analyze data using appropriate survey and analysis methods for research topics.
- Students are able to express their research results logically and clearly in the form of papers and oral presentations.
Once a week, students give presentations on their research progress and summaries of books related to their field of study.
Individual meetings are held as needed.
Through projects conducted in the laboratory, students participate in practical community development.
Evaluation method and criteria
Evaluation will be based on the quality of the research paper and contributions to seminar presentations and discussions.
