YUMOTO Atsushi
Course description
Students will learn the fundamental theory of elasto-plasticity which includes various stress-strain responses of elastic-plastic materials, yield criterion, flow theory, several approaches for stress-strain analysis.
Purpose of class
Students are requested to understand the basic concepts and equations such as stress, strain, yield conditions and constitutive equations that are essential in solving problems of elastic-plastic deformation.
Goals and objectives
  1. Acquiring the skill to solve mechanically some issues about plasticity
  2. Understanding the equilibrium condition between powers in combined stress state
  3. Understanding the flow-rules for metals
