Principles of Communication Systems

GYODA Koichi

KANAMARU Manami

TANAKA Shinichi

SUGA Norisato
Course description
The course introduces the various methods of communication which are analog modulation/demodulation method, coding method, and digital modulation/demodulation method.

For Japanese students, Assist. Prof. Kanamaru gives lectures in Japanese.
For IGP and short-term foreign students, Prof. Tanaka, Gyoda and Suga give lectures in English.
English class is different from Japanese class, and details will be explained in the first class.
Purpose of class
To help students acquire an understanding of the communication systems including
- History and outline
- Analog modulation/demodulation method
- Coding method
- Digital modulation/demodulation method
- Components of wireless communication systems
Goals and objectives
  1. At the end of the course, participants are able to understand some analog modulation/demodulation methods.
  2. At the end of the course, participants are able to understand some coding methods.
  3. At the end of the course, participants are able to understand some digital modulation/demodulation methods.
  4. At the end of the course, participants are able to understand the components of wireless systems
