Course description
Students will attend international or domestic conferences where the supervisor or senior students in the laboratory give presentations, and experience how conferences and paper presentations are organized. Then, students will try to ask questions in the Q&A session of a conference. To gain the skills for research presentations, students will do an exercise of giving presentations on the research results using real data with a presentation tool such as MS-PowerPoint, in a similar style to a conference presentation. In addition, students will understand the competencies which should be developed during the graduation thesis research (deeper understanding of discipline-specific knowledge, problem-finding and -solving, creativity, communication skills, ability to work as a team member), and clarify what kind of training is necessary to gain the target competencies through the discussion with the supervisor and senior students in the laboratory.
