2 Sophomore lab seminar I
Students will participate in small laboratory meetings (seminar), listening to research presentations given by the laboratory
members and trying to understand the content of each presentation. Students will take notes and summarize what they cannot
understand, which will be used in discussions with the group members. In addition, students will also introduce their own
research activities performed in the laboratory using a presentation tool such as MS-PowerPoint. Through these activities,
students will strive to improve communication skills and understand the importance of multidisciplinary approach.
Students who enrolled in 2024 or before will also conduct laboratory rotations, where they will participate the activities
in both their own laboratory and the two other laboratories that they visit.
The purposes of this course are to acquire an ability to understand discussions on different research topics, and to have
skills to explain their own research to people in other research fields.
