Course description
In this lecture, you extend an uni axial stress state to multi axial stress state and study about Mohr's stress circle which is one of the method for principal stress calculation. You also study about Euler's buckling.
Purpose of class
In this lecture, you extend an uni axial stress state to multi axial stress state. The purpose of this class is to understand Mohr's stress circle which is one of the method for principal stress calculation. You also understand Euler's buckling.
Goals and objectives
  1. To solve problems of beams bending accurately
  2. To draw Mohr's stress circle and calculate stress principals and to solve how to translate coordinate system of stresses.
  3. To calculate critical loads for Euler's buckling
