授業の概要

This course aims to develop speaking skills useful for the people who need both general English and English for the international workplace. Students will learn the vocabulary and practice conversations particularly useful across the a variety of different engineering fields through the tasks like describing a problem, giving instructions, explaining functionality, offering help, and so on.このクラスは技術系の仕事に就く人の英語によるコミュニケーション能力を伸ばすものです。さまざまなエンジニアリング分野に共通する基本的な語彙の習得と、一般的な会話に加え、問題の状況説明、使用説明、機能説明などの作業を通してスピーキング能力の向上を図ります。

達成目標

1.Students will learn words and expressions related to engineering fields which are also often used in everyday life.
日常生活に見られるエンジニアリングとかかわりのある単語や表現を学ぶ。
2.Students will develop communication skills they need for early practical communication on the job.
エンジニアリング分野における初歩的な会話力を身につける。
3.Students will get used to various dialectal English that they likely to encounter in working places.
仕事上想定されるノン・ネイティブとの会話における英語の聴き取りになれる。

評価方法と基準

Class Participation（積極的な授業参加）　　 ３０％
Small tests & Assignments（小テスト＆課題）　４０％
Final Test(期末テスト)　　　　　　　　　　 ３０％
を合計100％として60％以上取得を合格とする。

履修前の準備

授業には必ず辞書を持ってくること(英英辞書の入った電子辞書が望ましい）

・大宮校舎：月曜日〜木曜日。授業時間以外はいつでもOK です。
