Course description
Large amount of polymer metrials are widely used nowadays. The polymer is one of the indispensable mataterials for our life. High peformance and highly functinalyzed the polymer materials should be nessary for application in high technology industry. Furthermore, enviomental harmonization of the polymer materials should be required. In this recture, we study about basics of polymer synthesis and features of various polymerization methods, which should be usable for development of new polymer materials.
Purpose of class
Studying about basic reactions of polymer synthesis: radical polymerization, cationic polymerization, anionic polymerization, coordination polymerization, condensation polymerization, addition polymerization, addition-condensation polymerization, ring-opening polymerization, group transfer polymerization.
Studying about basic polymer reactions: degradation, functinalyzation.

Evaluation method and criteria
Objectives 1 and 2 are evaluated by the midterm examination. Objectives 3, 4 and 5 are evaluated by the term examination.
Passing grade is more than 60% (exercise level) of tatal socres (midtermexamination (50%) + term examination (50%). You have the exercise of previlus lecture at the bigginig of evely lecture to chekc your attendance. Morethan 2/3 of attendances should be nessary to have the term examination.
