The final goal of this class is to write the Introduction Chapter of you own Master Theses. The chapter should describe the
back ground of your research by referring to a couple of published papers which have contributed so much to make a plan of
your research.
The final goal of this class is to write the Introduction Chapter of you own Master Theses. For this goal, you will learn
the construction and syntax of scientific research papers in English, and will brush up the skills of logical communication
in English through the class. Your draft will be revised several times through discussions about the logical structure of
the manuscript.
- To understand the construction and syntax of scientific research papers in English.
- To be able to perform logical communications at the question-and-answer session of scientific symposium.
- To be able to explain the content and the importance of a scientific research paper in a couple of simple sentences in English.
- To be able to explain the back ground and the importance of his own research in a logical expression in English.

With presentations and discussions (70 points), the final draft of the Introduction chapter of your own Master Theses (30
points), for a total possible score of 100 points, a total score of 60 or more will be required to pass.
Students who would like to register this course are requested to satisfy the requirement by passing "Supramolecular Chemistry
1".
