Course description

In recent years, global environmental problems, such as global warming, ozone depletion, and deforestation, that could drive human beings and organisms into destruction, have emerged.On the local level, natural ecosystems have been destroyed, dioxin pollution has occurred, and water pollution has occurred due to domestic wastewater. Such problems are still serious. What should be learned to solve these environmental problems is not "knowledge as culture" but "knowledge for practice".
In 2015, the United Nations adopted the “SDGs” (SDGs) as a common goal of all countries for sustainable development of the world. However, not only national and local governments, businesses and NGOs but also individuals and households It is necessary to make efforts to achieve the goals.
Therefore, in this lecture, you will acquire knowledge of the theme and the issues, and also think about what you can do to solve the issues in daily life and society as a whole through active learning such as personal work and discussion.

Purpose of class

In this lecture, you will understand the relationship between everyday life and the target areas of the SDGs, and as a consumer, engineer and a member of society, think about what you can do to protect and improve the environment.

Prerequisites

Maximum capacity is 150 people. A placement test will be conducted at the beginning of the lesson. Students who are absent for the first time will not be accepted.
