Course description
This course is composed of the below three classes on architecture from four different aspects.

(1) Slide lecture on various building types (e.g. school building, assembly hall, office and museum)
(2) Tracing the plan, elevation and section drawings of the example of the above building types
(3) Study tour to the above example buildings

Through the course, students should acquire professional understanding of various types of architecture and the structural and equipment elements composing a building.
Purpose of class
The aim of the course is for students to study and acquire the basic technical know-how necessary for the practice of planning and design of various types of
Buildings thorough the exercise of tracing architectural drawings.
Goals and objectives
  1. Acquire and develop the basic understanding on architecture.
  2. Acquire knowledge on various building types.
  3. Study the design and the construction of buildings through tracing drawings and visit the example buildings.
