An architect is strictly required to understand the idea and system of building related laws to design a building in compliance
with the laws in the real world. To secure the safety of occupants, variety of regulations are applied to a building.
The aim of this course is to help students acquire an understanding the idea and system of building related laws, and the
planning and design theory of buildings that adheres to related laws such as Building Standard Law and Enforcement Order,
and City Planning Law.

The course will be weighted as follows: Final exam. 40%. Midterm exam. 40%. Quizzes. 20%. In order to pass, students must
earn at least 60 of 100 points.
Students are required to examine the structure of their house and land use category of its lot.
