Course description
Economic geography is a discipline which examines economic activities from a geographical viewpoint in relation to regions and spaces. This course provides basic concepts and theories which are helpful to understand various economic phenomenon in a region. With the help of examples of various local industries, students are expected to try to find a solution to problems with which local economies are confronted.
This class will be conducted using both in-person and on-demand formats. The specific schedule will be provided in the first session.
Purpose of class
The aim of this course is to help students to gain the basic methods and theories of economic geography as well as the ability of comprehending and explaining about various economic issues of each regions.

Evaluation method and criteria
A minute paper or a mini-exam is required to submit after every classes (40%) in addition to the presentation(20%) and the final exam(40%). The final score will be determined by the total amount of points obtained (Passing score = 60 %). In case of a poor attendance (less than 2/3 of all classes), the student will get no credit.
