To tackle future global challenges, this course provides an overview of the importance of social infrastructure for socio-economic
development in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and introduces the roles and activities of Japanese
industry, academia, and government in supporting the development and maintenance of social infrastructure overseas. Furthermore,
to understand how the situation and issues of social infrastructure differ between regions, specific examples of social infrastructure
and their challenges will be given for various countries.

the world, and to deepen interest in international development.
